I started sewing as a kid. I was influenced by my mother and grandmother who sewed all my doll clothes and Halloween costumes. I started out sewing doll clothes by hand and eventually progressed to sewing my own clothes on my mother’s sewing machine. This led to my making people I knew bags, purses, wallets and other items for gifts. With the encouragement of friends and family I started Racy Tracy Designs. I began selling items that were a combination of my love of wild colors and pattern sense along with my drawings. Each creation is hand crafted and takes several hours to make. But it’s all a labor of love. I basically try and make fun things that aren’t dictated by people or fashion trends. Just stuff that my friends and I would have fun wearing and using.
